Bruxism

Grinding and clenching

Grinding and clenching usually happens unconsciously and often in your sleep. The forces are enormous and slowly wear the teeth, cause sensitivity, jaw pain and headaches. Early recognition prevents lasting damage.

Not sure if your issue belongs here? Call or message us, we're happy to think along with you.

No waiting list. New patients usually within 1 to 2 weeks.

01

Signals

Recognise bruxism by these signs:

  • Flat, worn tooth edges
  • Stiff jaw or headache on waking
  • Sensitivity to hot or cold
  • Clicking or locking of the jaw
  • A partner who hears you grind
02

What we do

We measure the wear objectively, discuss triggers and (when wanted) make a thin, custom night guard that protects your teeth and joint without being noticeable.

03

What you can do yourself

Small changes already help:

  • Limit caffeine and alcohol in the evening
  • Consciously rest your jaw during the day
  • Use relaxation techniques when stressed
