Root canal treatment
A modern root canal treatment saves your own tooth and takes away the source of pain, under local anaesthesia and often in a single or two visits.

01
When needed
Common reasons:
- Severe toothache, spontaneous or from cold and warmth
- A dental abscess or swelling
- A deep cavity that reaches the nerve
- Trauma to the tooth
02
How it goes
We take an X-ray, anaesthetise, clean and fill the canals, and finish with a solid restoration. Often a crown is advised afterwards for strength.
Frequently asked
Does it hurt?
The treatment itself is done under anaesthesia. Some sensitivity in the days after is normal and manageable.
