Bleeding gums
Bleeding while brushing or flossing almost always points to gum inflammation. Left untreated it can develop into periodontitis, which also affects the jaw bone. Good news: gingivitis is fully reversible.

Signals
Watch for these signs:
- Red, swollen gums
- Bleeding while brushing or flossing
- Persistent bad breath
- Receding gums
- Loose teeth (later stage)
What we do
A thorough cleaning, personal brushing advice and (for periodontitis) a broader treatment plan with our hygienist. For deeper inflammation we refer to our in-house periodontist.
You might recognise this too
Dry mouth
A lasting dry feeling in the mouth, often caused by medication or reduced saliva.
Grinding and clenching
Unconsciously pressing or sliding the jaw, often at night. Wears the teeth and causes pain.
Tooth wear
Enamel wears down through acidic drinks, grinding or age. Early intervention preserves your own tooth.
