Jaw complaints
The jaw joint is finely tuned. Stress, grinding, a wrong bite or overload can throw it off balance. We analyse calmly, discuss all options and choose the least invasive route.
Not sure if your issue belongs here? Call or message us, we're happy to think along with you.
No waiting list. New patients usually within 1 to 2 weeks.
Complaints we often see
For example:
- Clicking or popping when opening
- Pain in front of the ear or in the temple
- Limited mouth opening
- Locking jaw
- Persistent headache
What we do
We examine jaw function and bite, and focus on rest for the joint. Often with a night guard, exercises and targeted advice. For complex cases we work with an orofacial physiotherapist.
You might recognise this too
Dry mouth
A lasting dry feeling in the mouth, often caused by medication or reduced saliva.
Grinding and clenching
Unconsciously pressing or sliding the jaw, often at night. Wears the teeth and causes pain.
Tooth wear
Enamel wears down through acidic drinks, grinding or age. Early intervention preserves your own tooth.
